A lovely piece of 1950’s costume jewellery with pretty colours and in good condition. Signed Hollywood a well known name during that period. The history of British Company Hollywood began over one hundred years ago, when in 1918 the Bloxidge brothers founded it in Birmingham. The company ceased to exist in 1972.
Traditionally, the jewellers of this company used coloured enamels, marcasite, Austrian crystals, aurora borealis, and since 1950 – polishing. The main themes are flowers, leaves and animals, as well as the Scottish – Celtic theme and cameos. All decorations have “Hollywood” marking inside a rectangle
